We ran this bag through more than 200 water tests before it earned its IPX66 rating. It's our Ultimate Version: 900D double-coated tarpaulin, heat-welded overlapped seams and a zipper that closes on three sides under a wide storm flap. The orange trim means you'll spot it in any trailhead lot.

Rain has to get past three things

First the coated tarpaulin, then the welded seams, then the flap over the zipper. We designed each layer assuming the one before it might fail, so no single weak spot lets the rain in.

No rack? No problem

The door hooks clip to the frame under the weatherstrip, and anti-scratch pads keep the paint clean. The swivel rings let straps find their own angle, so you're not fighting twisted webbing at 6 a.m.
